We’ve been through a lot together mate, since we first met in 1958 at Davidson Secondary School in Croydon. What fun the last 60 years have been including romances, weddings, children and grandchildren. It has not always been smooth, but mates are mates and I’ll miss you always. Have a good journey wherever you are going and I’m sure I’ll see you soon.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
